We all have fears. I have fears of height, speed, and water. however, I will probably be able to deal with all of this when confronted with them. The one I considered to be my biggest fear, is the fear of failure, the fear of me not living up to my expectations. If you’ve been following my blog, you will know that I have always said I have an idea of what I want my life to look like. So therefore, the fear of now realising that I am not living up to that expectation, makes me uncomfortable.
Before starting my blog, I was very positive that I will do well in the blogging world. however, deep down I was afraid of failing before I even decided to try. I was afraid that no one was going to be interested in reading anything I put out there. I had the fear of running out of contents to post. Whenever I have no idea on what to post for the week, I start panicking because I fear that I will become inconsistent then end up been less motivated. But nevertheless, I always make sure I stay positive and understand that when things don’t always go the way you want, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed.
Fear of failure can either change you for good or bad. You either accept failure and learn from it, or you let it affect your ability and allow it stop you from achieving your goals.
