NEW YEAR RESOLUTION? Everyday is a new beginning!

Everyday of our lives should be treated like a new beginning and not just the first day/month of a new year.

We should have resolution for everyday and not just new year resolutions. Everyday should be regarded as a new beginning of a new, improved, and happier life.

I stopped setting new year resolutions because, I realised that I’m likely not to carry them out and sometimes, I start and tend not to finish it.

When you fail to achieve a goal or couldn’t carry out a decision, you can always do it again another day. You don’t have to wait for the beginning of the next coming year to set a resolution just to try the same thing out again. Make use of everyday of the year to set new resolution. If you fail, keep attempting it until you achieve it.

I am not saying new year resolutions are not good, however, if you don’t want to see yourself in the same position every year making the same resolutions, don’t rush to set resolutions. Instead, “approach the new year with resolve to find the opportunities hidden in each new day” – Michael Josephson. If your goals from the previous year has not been fully achieved, carry on working harder towards it in the new year. As the new year goes on, you will begin to set new goals and resolutions for yourself to achieve.

You will be surprised how much you can achieve in life just by doing this, rather than subjecting yourself to a particular resolution just because it’s the beginning of a new year.

“Everyday that you open your eyes is a new day and another day to get it right” – Jean Renee Porter
