KENNYSBOOKCLUB: Act like a lady, Think like a man

words by kenny Adaba

Welcome to the April edition of the Kennysbookclub! For people reading my blog for the first time, Kennysbookclub is a monthly post on kennysdiary where I review a book we read together for that month.

This month’s choice of book is “ACT LIKE A LADY, THINK LIKE A MAN” by Steve Harvey.

First of all, based on personal opinion, I will rate this book a 10 out of 10.

ACT LIKE A LADY THINK LIKE A MAN, I would say is one of the best books that has been written to help women understand men and relationships.

The reason I will recommend this book for all ladies, is because Steve Harvey has given women a valuable information on how to increase peace in their home and relationships. In this book, he has also stated ways to tell if a man is ready to commit.

A lot of myths were mentioned in the book, and one of them Is “Men don’t approach strong women because they are intimidated by them”. However, Harvey has used this book to debunk this myth and stated that men are in fact, happy for your success and it doesn’t anger them or turn them off.

Steve Harvey in this book, gave a decade by decade breakdown/guide on what’s on the mind of men regarding relationships in other to show women what it takes for a man to get into a marriage state of mind. i.e., “A man in his twenties, is still discovering the cornerstones of manhood, who he is, what he does and how much he makes.”

Upon all the advice given to women on how to understand a man, Steve Harvey did not hesitate to also let women know when they should leave a relationship that’s not benefiting them. “don’t hold on to hope that is absolutely hopeless”.

                                                              Kenny’s takeaway quote

“There are plenty of good men ready, willing and capable of doing right by you if you let them” – Steve Harvey.
