What to do when you feel unmotivated

Hey Lovelies! Happy new year!  I hope you are all doing good and staying safe.

Since this is my first post for the year, I have decided to make it a positive one for anyone feeling unmotivated. Trust me, there’s someone out there right now who feels that he/she has flopped 2021 already.

Some days you wake up with so much motivation and ready to go and some days you just feel heavy and find it hard to keep going.

So today, I will simply be sharing three of my favourite ways to find motivation again. 

  1. Remember why you started

When you are feeling unmotivated, just ask yourself this questions; 

  • What will my life look like in 5/10 years if I continue on the same path and remain consistent?
  • How will my life change negatively for me and the people around me if I stop?

Just spending 5/10 minutes doing that will/should turn your mood and mindset around and awaken your motivation again.

2. Be around people with good energy

Talk to the people around you about their dreams and what motivates them.

Another way to gain back your motivation is by tapping into the motivational energy of the people around you. 

3. Just get started and let the motivation kick in

In the case where the top two tips does not work well for you, what then can you do? Well, I will suggest you take a break from everything to recharge. Sometimes, that is all that is needed.

Sometimes I take a break from everything and sometimes I let the motivation kick in by getting started anyways. 

The moment you take the first step, the next step becomes a bit easier and by the next step, the motivation is catching up and you will start to enjoy yourself.

Don’t forget, you do not have to feel motivated every day and that is perfectly OK!
