In today’s blog post, I will be writing about the ways I relax and unwind after a long week.

At the end of a long stressful week, it is only right you give yourself the chance to relax and unwind. Not only is it a good form of selfcare, it is also good and important for your mental and physical health.

Here are the three ways in which I relax and unwind after a long day/week 


One of the great ways I help my brain unwind after a long week, is by reading a book for few minutes. I find reading magnificent! It’s like an escape from the stress of everyday life. According to research, reading is proven to help reduce stress.


Nature documentary, Is one of the documentaries I enjoy watching on Netflix when I want to relax. I find it soothing and therapeutic. Whenever you want to relax, I will recommend you watch our planet documentary and let the beauty and majesty of nature help you relax and unwind.

Ps: the one I’m currently watching is “NIGHT ON EARTH” and it’s very good.


Drafting down blog content is another practice that helps me unwind and relax. Just like reading, I also find writing as an escape from reality. Writing helps you remain organise and better understand your thoughts. Writing, is in fact a highly recommended exercise for de-stressing.
