Kennysbookclub: the 5am club

Hey lovelies! welcome to a new week of kennysdiary, I hope we’ve all had a beautiful week? Today, I will be reviewing our read for this month “THE 5AM CLUB” by Robin Sharma.

The 5am club was a great book With sentiment. However, according to the kennysbookclub members, the book was not as good as it could/should have been.

The group had two minds regarding this book as it feels like he was writing a movie script. But then, we realised that is how Robin Sharma writes. The book also has some real nuggets of wisdom but wrapped up in too much novelisation to make it easy to extract them.

There’s a lot going on in the book. From romance, life threatening illness, to An extra violent business takeover threat and none of them advance the theme of the book. Although. There’s some good knowledge to take away from the book, but you’re going to have to work hard to find it.

Another issue we had with the book was that, There was too much fiction going on. Don’t get me wrong, I love fictional stories but this particular book was meant to be about self improvement about morning routine but instead, turned out to be a cheesy fictional story that most of the group members had to give up reading it.

According to one of our bookclub members, It’s feels like Robin Sharma is putting his ideology out there for people to absorb.

Nonetheless, I will recommend you read this book for yourself to gain your own perspective. The book also have some keywords you might find helpful.

The Colony Mayfair

Hey lovelies! welcome to a new week of kennysdiary, I hope we’ve all had a beautiful week?

So today, I will be reviewing The Colony Mayfair restaurant. I visited The Colony last week Thursday, and I can say with no doubt that it was a great experience.

The Colony Mayfair is a world class and luxury dining in the heart of Mayfair. The Colony also have a modern casino with gaming tables and slots, plus a restaurant, late bar, and TV sport.

The Colony Mayfair is a very mature cosy restaurant with awesome food. The quietness of the place is nice, and the menu has good range of options. The food is tasty, and the portions are enough to fill the stomach.

The Colony Mayfair staff are amazing. They made sure we are well catered for and looked after. They were wonderful staff and made us feel so special. So many great gestures I can’t remember them all.  Pulling our chair out for us, handing us napkins, and offering us some nice bread before our order came.

This restaurant is totally different to the usual as it serves all type of food ranging from Chinese, Lebanese, and European food.

However, if you are going to be visiting, make sure you take your ID with you and the only form of ID they accept is a passport or driving license. I reckon they ask for ID because of the casino club.

Finally, The Colony Mayfair is a restaurant I will recommend you visit at least once in your lifetime.

MY PROFESSIONAL TEETH CLEANING AND WHITENING EXPERIENCE

Hey lovelies! welcome to a new week of kennysdiary, I hope we’ve all had a beautiful week?

My blog post today, is for people who was asking about my teeth cleaning and whitening process.

On Thursday, I had my teeth cleaned and whitened by a professional dental surgeon. A dental surgeon is someone who specialises in dentistry, the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and conditions of oral cavity.

I had my teeth cleaned and whitened by PREMIUM CLINIC LONDON.

this was my first time having my teeth cleaned and whitened, so, I was kind of nervous.

Yes, the society is a bit too obsessed with teeth-whitening, but I guess that’s because our teeth and smile is one of the features that gets noticed at first glance.

My dentist was a very lovely, fabulous guy and the zoom procedure worked well for me.

The first process was the cleaning. My teeth cleaning took about 30 minutes but I’m sure it’s varies depending on individuals. Teeth cleaning is the removal of plaque from the teeth to prevent cavities and gum disease. The cleaning process is a bit uncomfortable and painful especially the sensitive part of your tooth. Another part of the cleaning process I do not like, is when you get a lot of water mixed with blood in your mouth. Although, you will be given a hose to dry out the water and spit which I think is a good thing.

The second part of the dental process is the whitening procedure. After your teeth has been cleaned, the dentist will apply some gel on your top and bottom lips to avoid any type of reaction from the machine. If you are a lady, i will advise you go in without make up as the process involves a lot of water and face touching. The not so enjoyable thing about teeth whitening is that you will be sitting in one spot because it takes about 45 mins for the process to be completed.

Overall, my teeth cleaning and whitening with premium clinic was a great experience and I can’t wait to go back in six months for my regular teeth cleaning.

PS: if you do happen to visit premium clinic, make sure to let them know Kenny referred you 

Questions and Answers

Hey lovelies! welcome to a new week of kennysdiary! i hope we’ve all had a lovely week?

Today’s blog post is a question and answer from my online poll during the week and I have picked my 5 questions to answer.

Honestly, I get asked a lot of questions and most of the time, it is the same type of questions. Therefore, I thought I would cover these in a little Q&A.

So, let’s just get into it!

What is a big mistake you think a new blogger should avoid?

I think I covered this in my premium how to be a successful blogger content, but since we are doing a Q&A, I will just answer it here as well.

One of the big mistakes you should avoid as a blogger is promoting yourself. Self-promotion is important. How much are you really promoting yourself? Do you have a plan?

Do not be afraid to promote yourself and plan.

Does your blog make money?

Yes, my blog makes money, but that is not my focus.

It is important not to focus on making money instantly because it can potentially harm your mental health.

When starting out as a blogger, you need to think of it as a long-term plan to become a stream of income for you.

Do you think education is important?

As a master’s student, it is only right I say yes, education is important. Your degree will always be there. understand that not everyone can get good quality education, therefore, make use of the opportunity if/when you have it.

Are you dating?

Erm!! next lol

What is you biggest fear in life?

If you’ve been following my blog from the beginning, you should know that ive mentioned this on different occasion.

We all have fears.  I have fears of height, speed, and water. however, I will probably be able to deal with all of this when confronted with them. The one I considered to be my biggest fear, is the fear of failure, the fear of me not living up to my expectations. If you’ve been following my blog, you will know that I have always said I have an idea of what I want my life to look like. So therefore, the fear of now realising that I am not living up to that expectation, makes me uncomfortable.

Before starting my blog, I was very positive that I will do well in the blogging world. however, deep down I was afraid of failing before I even decided to try. I was afraid that no one was going to be interested in reading anything I put out there. I had the fear of running out of contents to post. Whenever I have no idea on what to post for the week, I start panicking because I fear that I will become inconsistent then end up been less motivated. But nevertheless, I always make sure I stay positive and understand that when things don’t always go the way you want, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

Fear of failure can either change you for good or bad. You either accept failure and learn from it, or you let it affect your ability and allow it stop you from achieving your goals.
