How to Get into Finance

There are plenty of ways and opportunities in accountancy, investment management, banking and insurance for both school leavers and graduates.

I currently hold a masters in finance. So, I can tell you that it was not the most easiest thing, but with great determination and hard work, it is achievable and very rewarding. I did business in school, accounting for undergraduate and finance for postgraduate and I am looking to go into Investment banking within the finance sector.

There are two majors ways to get into the finance sector as a school leaver. You can go into University full time or go into apprenticeship and you can start earning while you learn. Some employers might even allow you work and complete a university degree at the time same

Finance is a highly competitive and rewarding field and getting into it can be a little bit challenging. However, with the right knowledge and skills, any one can break into the Finance industry.

The first step to getting into finance is to understand the different types of finance and the various roles within the field. Some of the most common types include investment banking, corporate finance, and asset management. Each of these areas has its own set of responsibilities and requires different skills and qualifications.

One of the most important things to do when getting into it is to gain a solid understanding of financial concepts and principles. This means studying economics, accounting, and business management. Another important step in getting into finance is to gain experience. This can be done through internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work. These opportunities will provide you with hands-on experience and a chance to learn from experienced professionals.
